My Boomerang Won't Come Back

I wished to produce an image that referenced Warhol series of large prints. These were particularly attractive to me upon first sight as my first ever full-time position was as a commercial screen printer. In this particular image however, I’m reflecting on my mixed ancestries in an attempt to create a mapped face.

The ochre coloured bands in the background represent my tribal Dhungatti past which therefore is highlighted on parts of my face.
