Finding Our Heart

It became a re visiting of a career long practice and consolidating that practice into one text. A twenty year artistic painting sojourn, re addressed from the figurative origins of pencil / ink / watercolour & finally acrylic paints on various surfaces. The origins never reach their ‘use by date’.

These are the illustrated direct effects of Colonialism upon a land later titled ‘Australia’.

Of a highly esteemed modern day warrior, utilising the incredible power of literary prowess. A book that reaches far & wide and reintroduces the relatively young demise of First Nations cultures yet requests the empathy of the oppressors only two hundred & thirty two years into the oppression.
