This is a scan form the original (study), 100 x 100cm of the 2015 Archibald Prize finalist piece. Uncle Max is a celebrity figure in Redfern, Sydney – often performing smoking ceremonies at official events and welcoming notable international visitors regularly. With such a charismatic face & persona, it was only natural that he be portrayed for this epic annual painting event.
